Our Fleet

We are committed to maintaining our high standard of service by investing in a top-quality fleet. Our vehicles are both efficient and reliable, ensuring that we can continue to deliver goods on time and without issues. Our fleet is constantly growing, and currently includes a range of long-haul trucks which allow us to transport large quantities of cargo across the country and beyond Zambia's borders. By prioritising the quality and reliability of our vehicles, we can guarantee that our customers' goods will be transported safely and efficiently, no matter the destination.

Blacksmith's vehicles are chosen with great care to ensure the safe transportation of valuable cargo. They have a range of super links, taut liners and tri-axle trucks, all of which are equipped with tarpaulins, straps and corner plates. This ensures the cargo is well secured during transportation. Furthermore, Blacksmith has preventative maintenance strategies in place to ensure that their equipment is always in excellent condition, ultimately ensuring the cargo is transported safely and securely.

FLEET

VEHICLE

All vehicles are serviced at their scheduled service kilometres.
All VOLVO vehicles are scheduled for service every 40,000 km from the previous scheduled service. The Operations Manager will determine where to service the vehicles that are due for maintenance while en route, ensuring minimal downtime during the service period.
The operational program is updated after each service, ensuring that the next interval service time is scheduled accurately.

TRAILERS

All trailers undergo frequent servicing, with three check-ups per year occurring every four months, even before the scheduled service date.
These services are done according to the required specifications.
After each service, the operations manager will arrange for wheel alignment, which will also be rescheduled for the next service period. Each trailer is set to be serviced after a span of 70 000 km from the previous service. With such frequent servicing, the trailers are always kept in top condition, ensuring safety and reliability on the road.
